I just changed to Vodafone cause Dark did. Their coverage is WAY better than I have ever had with Optus. I rarely got 3G with Optus, mostly 2G. I am yet to see my phone drop to 2G yet (touch wood!)
They have a bad history but with their new network there is definitely a difference!!!
im the opposite.
Was with vodfail for about 5 years, was shit coverage, black spots in thw worst places (best mates house, pub. So my 2 most frequented places!) Switched to Optus about 6 months ago and its been good so far. I did want to to go Telstra but they didnt release the SGS2 for a month after Optus and since i needed a new phone now i didnt want to wait.
I have the same problems with voda, my whole house is a black spot I need to walk to the end of the driveway to make phone calls and I’m lucky if I recieve messages… This is in a suburb within 20ks of Sydney CBD. Sister is with Telstra and gets full 3G reception I can’t wait to switch providers.
All the coms company’s are the same. I have accounts with 3 of them, hate them all. But in places one doesn’t work another will. I swap modems and providers to get the best coverage depending on location. This is mostly with internet accounts. My mobile is with Optus - has been for 15 years. Only recently (since my phone was stolen) I’ve wanted to change because they wont let me upgrade my phone for another month because of my contract. Changing providers I’m sure will present similar problems.
Whoever voted that they use a Nokia 5110, I salute you!
iphone 4 love it but got so much crap on it so therefore is now so slow! and the battery like is so rubbish!
The HTC One X battery is worse than the iPhone!!!
I still say that you potentially had a faulty phone/battery
It turns out that HTC has now released a software update that apparently fixes the battery issue. I have already arranged to return it though in favor of the iPhone. I am happy with my decision!
I’ve only ever had nokia phones, never had a 5110 so i didn’t vote

Are you turning running apps off? You have to do this manually. Any thing left on will be slowing down the processor and chewing through battery especially if they use the internet - which most do.
Every few hours I would turn every running app off and at at the end of every day.
If my daughter had used the phone up to 20 apps would be left running as she would turn on any game she might want to play. As soon as an app is opened it keeps running in the background.
There are very few iPhone users that realise this. As a waiter as soon as I saw a customer with an iPhone I would ask them if they knew, in two years I’ve had about 3 that where aware. So many would go out of there way to come back and thank me.
Some apps will also chew up your data. I think this is a strategic move by apple to ensure carriers want to sell iPhones.
I regularly got 3 days from one charge on my 3Gs. Normally only a day and a half.
The iPhone 3G was labelled as having a terrible battery (and being slooooow). Now the battery is fantastic - it must take time for it to become good, When it was new the battery would last half a day (hours if being used) now it last days on standby and about 6hrs of use and charges super quick - 3/4 in 20min!!!
I do that all the time, it makes the battery last a lot longer than normal! I couldn’t work out how to do it on the HTC
settings/manage applications

Definitely a Fanboi.
It takes clicking the options button and then manage applications to turn them off!
