That time of year mate 99.999% chance you wont need them. Buuuut technically you need to carry them into the park. Rangers can do spot checks to ensure you have them, but you would be very, very, very unlucky to get searched at that time of year (unless its been dumping)
confirmed you wont need them at that time of year
but ...to disclaimer myself from anything, recommend having them so you don’t get fined
ps i went and bought a set just because i plan to have this car for awhile
hiring for weekend = 40 bucks or so
head down 3 times = your own set (ebay pricing) pretty much
especially useful for those red eye runs where dropping by servo for chains is just waste of time
Thanks guys good to know.
Lanox - what size wheels have you got?
I have a set of chains which i got for the excel last season. That have never been used! Happy to give them away.
sorry mate then i want be able to help you out.
No worries bud
Yeh unlucky me has to hire chains everytime I go up to the snow :-(
I got a pair that will probably not fit anything lol. If people want a set to throw in the back on non-chain days.
Blizz, isn’t your car an all wheel drive? They don’t need chains I thought?

they are stock i think 15 no idea to tell you the truth this car was purchased for the boss.
The excel will probably be 13’s or 14’s. So they probably won’t fit. But if you want to carry some on sunny days to stop fines (and save you $30 a pop) it might be worth it.
Otherwise, next time you are at the servo renting chains, just buy them instead. They only charge like $150 for a set of chains.

They are 13’s… it may work. Need to know the exact wheel/tyre size…. Then I will look on the box

Yeah I have an Astra and running on 195/60 R15
13’s - 15’s won’t work unfortunately… its the rim + tyre value, so my 18’s would probably be closer than your 13’s lol. Stock on the Pulsar was 15 I think.
You can leave your car in the carpark at the bottom station. But how safe and secure your car will be, im not too sure. I have never left a car there over night so dont know if its patrolled etc.
P.S. Will speak to K2, see what our plans are then provide some moola to your account.
its fine i have left my car there for more than a week all good

Still need chains for Perisher even if its a four wheel drive!!!!!
Only alpine way to Thredders (or before Dead Horse) do they let fourbies off for no chains!!!!!
I thought that was only a mexican thing.
Where’d your info come from Mizu?
