Went up today with my buddy Mike. Conditions were not so great, slushy everywhere, top is a bit better but still a bit slushy. Met up with Marc and his friend in the afternoon but unfortunately I injured my right elbow and it’s really hard to move my right arm. It happened when hitting this side hit at the park, one of the side hits that you shouldn’t fell but you did towards the end of the day. Doctor said it will take 6 weeks for fully range of motion and strength back but hopefully I can heal faster so I can continue lifting weights.

Skip - Hows it feeling today? any better? feel kinda responsible with you coming through the park with me and ty, and it being your first lap through there. you gonna b able to do your re-test on sunday?

Jeremy - Hope u and michelle have a safe flight/trip home dude, we’ll see you guys back in aus in sept.

Crap, yeah your re-test.

If it’s any help, I did my test with my fractured thumb/wrist. It kept dislocating whenever I put tape on or took my boots off. I did it about 3-4 days before my test, very similar to you.

@marc: Feels much better today Marc. Can move my arm a whole lot more than the other day, wrist and elbow still hurts a bit though. Don’t worry about it man, its not your fault at all smile. Yeah, I think I can take my retest on Sunday, I’ll just tell the evaluator that I can’t use my right arm a whole lot.

@dan: If you can do it, I can do it! hahah

I did my level 2 riding re-test with a separated shoulder. I think it made me ride better because I was so scared of falling on it haha. Best of luck, Rico! Good to hear you’re feeling better.

I’ve been pretty slack with updates as I moved house in the past week and the internet connection here is super slow so have hardly been online.

Snow has been alright, super hard in the mornings which has meant we’ve only been heading up in the afternoon once it softens up a bit. Temps have been pretty high through the days which has meant it’s been hoodie weather which has been great. Been stepping up to some large jumps in the park which has been great but the park isn’t as much fun as the whistler park with a heavy influence on rails etc. Mixed with the poor grooming that comes with spring it’s been making for some very sketchy landings unfortunately so we’ve been doing lot of riding out of the park playing off side hits which are all over the place.

Snow was super hard today everywhere so we ended up doing laps of excel to stay lower in the softer snow and just did laps of the cat tracks which had the best snow. Still had a tonne of fun though as I got to work on my spins. Managed to get back 180’s with a tail press 180 out which I’m pretty stoked about as it was a great end note before heading back to work tomorrow.
