2010 / 2011 product info pages on Boardworld
Everyone is going to have their own opinion. I tested the 2010 Flying V last season and I honestly didn’t notice any of the negative points they mentioned. By what they’re saying, all rocker middle / camber underfoot boards (Libtech’s C2, Nitro Gullwing etc..) would have the same problem with not being able to stay centred on the board, which I have never heard before. Maybe the board just didn’t suit their riding style?
Thanks for that… Besides, I’m not sure I’m good enough to notice their concerns, but it’s good to get another opinion. Hope to be getting one in a few days. Cheers!

I rode the custom flying V 156 at the perisher demo day the other week, defintely interesting. Probably shouldn’t have got on it as the 1st board of the day as I’ve never had any experience with the whole reverse camber/rocker boards, have always ridden cambered boards so unfortunately I really had nothing to compare it to. I’m sure had I had more experience on rockered boards I would have noticed the difference. I think had I been able to ride a rockered board in powder I’d be blown away as this is brobably the one area where i’d see the most benefit of itn for my riding.
As jeremy said it all comes down to riding style.. this is going to make a huge difference to the type of board you are going to like and get the most out of.
Finney - flying v is regular rocker. It’s rocker AND camber, so it doesn’t feel that different to a cambered board.
I rode a 2011 custom fv, easy livin fv and joystick last year. I found the custom fv to be blah - typical custom go anywhere board. Joystick was fun, but the easy livin fv was amazing. To the guy who wants to get a 163, you might want to consider sizing down. All the B reps were telling me to size down. I was riding a 154 in knee deep pow - with no problems at all! I normally ride 162 and up….
Yeah I understand the concept of it including both I was referring more so to the rocker that exists between the feet being something that I’m not terribly familiar with the feeling of due to all my previous riding being on cambered boards, thus I couldn’t give an accurate review of the advantages that this has over a rocker or camber only board.

From next season we will have all the LibTech and GNU boards on the site. It was a bit hard this year as the brands are in the process of being handed to Quiksilver.
i just got a easy livin flying v….cant wait to get it on snow and give it a red hot go!
