iTunes isn’t required to sync with iphones and idevices’s. There is other music software that does this also. (someone mentioned it was earlier in the thread)
Also MudHoney said earlier about file storage - there are also apps that you can use to store files on the iphone. iTunes allows you to upload/download files to it in the “sync apps” section. “Downloads Lite” is one. many PDF readers also allow this feature.
I hate apple computers with a passion but think ipods and iphones are great, mainly for the layout and simplicity. Jailbreak one and I can do everything on it you can do on your android. I have the Samsung rugby, but when I have the spare money I’ll upgrade to an iPhone - though I fear I will break it very quick.
Yeah there are alternative programs double twist and mediamonkey from memory etc but really you’re still jumping through hoops when you should be able to simply drag and drop.
I haven’t jail broken an iPhone since my 3gs but does it enable Widgets, notification leds, swype and flash support now?
Thats my major gripe when there is something that android can do from the start but someone says ‘oh but there is an app for that so my iphone can do it also’
Sure it can do it now, but before the app come out what then?
Sure its a minor gripe but it still annoys the shit out of me

There are some fully integrated programs that do everything virtually the same as itunes (so I’ve been told). MyMusic is one I think?
Yeah android definitely brings things out to the public faster, but if you’re jailbroken and use Cydia (unofficial app store for jailbroken iPhones) you can usually find what you want.
I probably over stated that a lot - as I don’t really see the point of some things like widgets for a phone. I’m unsure if the new iPhones can do that. But no doubt there are some similar jailbreak tweaks. Generally the problem is sifting through the junk trying to find what you want.
I never really got onto the android buzz. It just feels like a ‘lite’ and incomplete OS to me (which it kinda is). There’s a reason iPhones are so popular. The OS is great. But as with Macs - when you look at the price you pay for the actual hardware, other phones/computers are superior.
I’ll gladly pay more for somethin that is trouble free and easy to operate!!!!!
This is the whole idea of Technology!!!!! Too make life easy!!!!! Apple does this all too well!!!!!
hahaha
Does anyone know if perisher is planning to bring out their App for Android?
