Thought about for a bit of fun posting some of my favourite would rathers that we’d play on the way to the mountain. Pretty simple, you get given a snowboarding situation and you have to choose what you’d prefer. Please chime in with your own!
1. Would you rather be able to perform in pipe like Sean White and never be able to ride powder again or be able to ride powder but never be good in park?
2. Would you rather be able to pull off a triple cork halfway through the season but hurt yourself just after and be out for the rest of the year, or, not be able to try any tricks for the entire season but get through it unscathed?
3. Would you rather be able to snowboard in your perfect snow conditions for the entire season but it be -20 for the entire year, or ride in blue bird conditions everyday, but never have those perfect snow conditions you want?
GO!!!
Do I just have to say which one only or am I allowed to say why I choose it. Also id say everyone’s perfect snowboard conditions would be bluebird!
yeah you can say why of course…thats why I said perfect snow conditions, so most likely perfect powder but overcast or bluebird and very icy or incredibly slow and sludgey.
I’d go with -20 and good snow over +5 and sunny.
Would you rather:
Live on the snow in Mt Selwyn or go boarding for a week in Perisher?
1. Powder
2. Unscathed
3. -20 but perfect conditions… ie dumps with snow every night but not windy during the day.
TJ - Only Ride Perisher for a week. Grew up skiing Selwyn and was offered a job there but can’t stand the isolation!
Scenario…
You can’t afford to go snowboarding at your fav resort in Nth Hem. Someone offers to comp you a two week all expenses paid trip… the catch is you must ski!
Would you not go… or would you ski?

I wouldn’t go.
It would bug me too much to be doing green runs on skis.

my perfect conditions are bluebird sunny, no wind and powder…if its like that I dont mind if its minus 20. Ive ridden in those conditions before and didnt feel cold. Its worse when its windy!

More than one person can reply to a scenario.
I already made one up and am all out of good questions lol.
Powder for sure
Unhurt (cause being carted off the mountain and out for the season and future probs sux dogs balls)
Perfect conditions. I’ve been in -15 and if its that cold just put extra layers on
And yes oz Id go sking in Taho for sure…but then again I have been known to dable in the dark arts (hence how I was carted off…dogs balls etc
Would you rather
drop a 50 foot cliff drop or ride down front valley perisher naked and drink a beer/coffee at the pub at the bottom
If I land the 50 footer with no injuries….
Wait there is free beer in the other option. I’ll go that one

Either way, I end up getting the shit kicked out of me.
