I liked it but liked the Tasmaniac better.

I’m actually really keen to get / try a Jackpot as it seems perfect for my riding style.

If ya can eat like a King, then why bloody not?????

haha because if I ordered that I would just be thinking how many tubs of bulla wildberry frozen yoghurt I could have got for the same price & therefore how many nights of dessert I would have gotten instead of that one dessert!
I can’t help it - its just how my stoopid brain works!

even 2l tubs of frozen yoghurt are a treat in this house - only get it once in a blue moon if it is on special (minimum saving of at least $2 off the RRP to be considered). hahaha

Yeah Oz I wasn’t saying you paid for it, I just can’t fathom that anyone could/would! It is just too far from my particular realm of reality to be understood. If it was free then why not chow down?

Blackstump restaurants used to make a dessert called “I’ll have what she’s having” (no idea if they still do haven’t been there in yearssss) - it had a chocolate biscuit base, with layers of ice cream, peanut butter and caramel. I think it was about $8 and I used to go halves with a friend cos it was way too sweet to eat the whole thing. I can’t imagine any dessert ever being any better than that one.

One christmas party for an old work, they put on dinner and it was 4 squares that were about 2x2cm and 1/2 a cm thick of pork. Probably cost them like $50 each and I barely even felt like I ate something :(

But you made up for it by drinking 10x your body weight in grog though?

Pretty common at weddings these days, too. Hosts pay through the nose to have fancy food served in tiny portions - and you’re stuck there the whole night starving and wondering where the closest food outlet is!

Ah but TJ, I had canapes and then 3 course at dinner.

Therein lies the differences.

My stomach was perfect happy! not stuffed and not starving. I could have done with more wine but everyone else at the table was being polite :-(

Cords I totally hear what you are saying and agree with you most of the time - except food!

I used to love Queen Adelaide Sparkling Wine. Would prefer it over the fancy expensive french stuff any day. It used to be $3.50 on special.

Years ago i used to organise company events at least once a month - we used to have full open bars at say The Loft, cocktails, premium spirits but i cracked it one day when the bankers kept ordering Vodka Grey Goose and Redbulls. I believe they were $30 a pop! I actually went up to the bar and said no more… they can have 150 yo Scotch i don’t care but killing Grey Goose with Redbull is not on. LOL

I couldn’t not believe their greediness. They did it because they could. People like that ruin it for everyone else. One day when the bill becomes crazy the boss then either says either no spirits or totally cancel the events!

That is what i would hope to have for my wedding - will sacrifice ever other expense of my wedding to have a fancy meal. But it will be more like 5 courses. Its the people who try to do a posh wedding for cheap that you walk out starved! These places would suggest canapes but people drop them to save money - or make the wedding cake dessert… but then order non dessert portioned wedding cakes to cut costs. (a wedding cake is priced on portions and if you use it for dessert (ie big portions) it is more expensive)

But hey if we were all the same life would be boring.

** a little background on me - am a trained chef but hated it. This is why food is important to me!
