When I was a kid…

...Big Macs were bigger!
...Wagon Wheels were the size of well… a wagon wheel and had HEAPS of jame and marshmello! Now they are tiny with hardly a lick or either!
...Cadbury Creme egg filling was runnier and would dribble down the side if you bit it in half. Now its just…thick!?
...there was no Vegimite 2.0. If you didnt like it you were unAustralian!
...Minties were hard as little white rocks until you sucked on them enough to warm them up to chewing consistancy!

What else has changed in a bad way since you were a kid?

...kids played in the street (not on a gaming console)

There was no Ice Cream over $2.
People showed up on time (no mobile phones to phone up and say “I’m running late”)
Nobody minded that Humphrey didn’t wear pants, Noddy and Big Ears slept in the same bed or Bert and Earnie sharing a bath.
and you could get a Large Pizza Hut pizza for $4.95

And it looked like this:

rather than this:

Petrol was well under $1.

Nippers was my favourite thing in the world.

I put lots of gel in my hair.

I had a Commodore 64 computer.

We played cricket in the street.

Ninja Turtles were the bomb!

I had an awesome collection of ‘Masters of the Universe’ toys.

(I realise not all of these changed for the worse. It’s just different now. Sorry, I should have read the thread fully before typing. red face)
