Haha I have no idea if it’s correct either it’s straight out of google translate. You got the gist of it though I was asking if you knew conversational russian

I figured you were asking something in Russian LOL

Its weird it says under general requirements that you need to speak russian but under specific jobs some say you need conversational Russian and some mention only english and any other language is a bonus.

But there was an old lady on the trip with me in Japan who has done it at multiple Olympics (like Vancouver and Sydney) she said I should get in fine. I am hoping she will put in a good word for me with her friends, she apparently asked to join Vancouver at the last minute and they found a spot for her!

Fingers crossed for your oz I’m sure after a few vodkas you’ll be 100% fluent anyway billy

It would be an amazing experience and you could add it to your already impressive list of countries you’ve visited!

haha - thanks and yeah Russia and Scandinavia are two areas that I didn’t get to when I lived in Europe and deeply regret it!

As awesome as this would be, I don’t think I could volunteer for a month in Russia and live off savings… Though it might be worth applying and if I get accepted, just save like a mofo for the next year and a half and can possibly use annual leave for most of it.

Exactly TJ - A lot could happen in 2 years! Apply and then see what happens.

You can always pull out.

I thought my life would be totally different for Vancouver which is why I didn’t do it for then. But hey my life didn’t change all that much and I sooo wish I went :-(
