I found out what the fuss was all about and read the Hunger Games. I’m up to the second book in the series. Its a pretty light read, I read the whole thing in 6.5hrs but it was definitely enjoyable!
Looking forward to see the movie soon.
Apparantly the book vs the movie is like comparing texas chainsaw massacre vs twillight
Tread with caution.
I read the first 2 of these and now upto the 3rd
I’m reading the Sookie Stackhouse Novels right now (don’t judge a book by it’s.. um… title)
It’s basically what would happen if Vampires were able to live openly in main stream society.
A really cool concept and awesome characters.
I recommend it for anyone who strongly disagrees with vampires being all teen angst and sparkly *coughs TWILIGHT*
^ Based on ‘True Blood’ I’m guessing? I really like the TV show.
I think True Blood is based on the books, rather.
The Millenium series is so good! The movies (the swedish ones - haven’t seen the american one with Daniel Craig in it yet) are really good too.
I love the way Stieg Larsson writes. He is always giving really specific details about the food they bought and stuff which is kind of weird but I enjoyed it.

Like my trip reports????? Maybe I could be a writer!!!!!
I am reading the Bible right now. But in terms of novels I usually like to ride fantasies books.

Yep, True Blood is based on the books. (I couldn’t wait any longer for season 5 to come out so I started reading the books lol)
The books and the show follow the same story line, but they are actually pretty different in a lot of ways.
Main characters have been added to the show. And the show gives more detail about the other characters lives.
It’s one of the few times I could say the show is as good as the books.
But the show lacks detail about things too, so I would say both are worth watching/reading.

The Bible is good for surf!!!!! Capable of partin seas!!!!!

I’ve been reading ‘Game of thrones’ after watching the first season. I’m now 3/4 through the second book. Very awesome books but OMG it’s like reading mini war and peace novels! 6 books all 700 pages each will make it the most I’ve ever read!
Sooo many people I know love game of thrones, but I haven’t watched any of it yet.. I don’t have the time!!
What do you reckon is better, book or show?

I’d have to say that the show followed the book VERY closely. There were only minor changes (for example a woman in the book is 13 when she got sold to a brute for marriage and was raped by him on thier wedding night. In the TV series, they obviously had to make her over 18 and they watered down the rape scene. In the book it was very graphic. There were a few other minor changes but the first season is pretty much the first book.
Good to know they followed the books I guess….
Maybe thats why so mnay people are stoked on the show
I was just about to start downloading the game of thrones series but didn’t realise it was books. Think I’d rather read the books first.
Just went and saw Hunger games. It was HORSE CRAP! A terrible movie adaption. If you go see the movie, don’t let it put you off the books. Books are a squillion times better. Am half way through the second book in the trilogy now and really enjoying it.
