Ohhhh. Yeah I remember hearing about that now. I’ve always liked the way he rides, I might have to demo one of those if I get the chance.

This thread has given me heaps of boards to look into…...I still think I want True Twin, Wide and Rocker and probably a 158 depending on what board it was. I also want a board that is medium to soft flex I think. Although I would also like a chance to demo a yes board. I forgot to say that I weigh about 85k/ 6ft3.

I am also considering a fairly cheap interim board, until I get a chance to test ride some more of the suggestions.

So far my ‘cheap’ interim possibles are-

Burton Blunt- wide
Forum Manual ChillyDog Snowboard
Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard
Yes. The Basic Snowboard - Wide

boards i’d like to test ride and maybe buy later if I like one

Gnu Riders Choice
Libtech banana

Go the Basic!!!!! That’s my vote!!!!!

More than likely, ya wont even bother to “upgrade”!!!!!

funny how I wasnt evening considering getting a YES until you guys stepped in…..maybe your should be getting team discounts for spreading the word so well wink.

Another option is http://www.boardsupplyco.com.au/product/capita-horrorscope-157cm

it got the 2010 good wood and apparently is a mid wide so fits the bill

Looks like it would be a great jib/pow board due to it havin the Flat Kick Urban profile, but again it might lack in edge hold on hard pack and at speed?????

And if ya end up gettin a YES, make sure that ya get some FLUX binders!!!!! That way I get double commission!!!!!  LOL

pretty sure his board at the moment is a regular camber. I think hybrid is probably better than a reverse camber for the kind of all round board he is after?

Yeah, I checked back and edited my post!!!!!

The FK Urban is not really a hybrid profile as such!!!!! It has a flat spot in the centre then out to rocker, so I reckon it would be a similar ride to a board that has a slight rocker!!!!!

Freestyle FK would better suit hard pack and high speed, as it has the flat section from insert to insert!!!!!

Just my take on the whole thing!!!!! Not Gospel!!!!!

You’re right. Capita’s Urban FK flat section is inside insert to inside insert, whereas Capita’s Freestyle FK flat section is outside insert to outside insert (which is the most similar to the YES Basic). Also, the Horrorscope has a flex rating of 3 out of 10 - whereas the Capita Indoor Survival FK has a flex rating of 5 out of 10, which is much more suited to riding more than just park.

small core company in Tahoe. They handmake the boards there and have pretty wild graphics. The boards have crazy pop. My friend has a 56 superpark with dirt rocker and a 59 kyle clancy pro model (with anti-rocker aka flat).
