Devo to have traveled away this weekend to compete in the Zone Showgirl finals and not to have been selected as a State Finalist for the Royal Easter Show.
*FYI - State finalists have an all expenses paid trip to Sydney for 5days for the ROyal Easter Show… and the state winner gets $10 000.

I would have been stoked to have know a show girl finalist! I wanted to be one when I was a kid! Can’t believe I actually know a contender LOL Well done for getting that far tho.
(been going to the show since i was two weeks old - youngest baby there beat my by two hours Devo’d! The whole family are members)
Thanks Oz! I had a great time doing it, felt like i really nailed the public speaking component (answering the questions 1. Why do you enjoy teaching in a rural community. 2. If you were agriculture minister for a day what would you do and 3. A report has just been released showing that many children do not understand where their food comes from, how does this make you feel and how would you rectify it) but unfortunately i didnt make it. The two girls who were selected from our Zone have very strong agricultural backgrounds, so i feel this is where i was lacking. It was an amazing experience and honestly loved getting all dressed up last night, very devo i didnt make it as i really wanted to get through to State level :-(

devo i slipped doing rope climbs at crossfit the other night and rolled my ankle (well its a cankle at the moment) on the rope on the ground.
Hobbling around like a gimp for a week at the least is going to be fun.
The noise my ankle made when i did it was quite unnerving to say the least!

Devo’d that dads sore back has turned out to be multiple compound fractures along his spine.
I’ve moved him into my place and I’m back in the house with mum and stepdad.
He has been so dosed up on pain killers and muscle relaxant he can’t lift his head, poor old bugger.
Today the muscle relaxants should start to wear off and he can start moving around and doing things (we hope).
Dad is pretty adamant that he’s going fishing this weekend. He may just succeed - he is my father after all and I go snowboarding on broken bones and dislocated knees. I had to inherent that from somewhere.

Yeh im not that worried about the season, shitloads of time to heal before then. im more worried about not beign able to go gym and also getting it healed and training for Tough Mudder which is only 10 days away.

Devo to have taken a chunk out of my hand. i fell off a bicycle (yes, laugh away, everyone else has found it amusing!!!) i have not fallen off a horse in over 10 years but manage to fall off a freaking bicycle. Took a huge chunk out of my left hand (yes, i am left handed) and just to top it off it got infected. On top of all of that my debating team forfeited their first match, after i spent a week organising it, i get told if i ride my favourite horse for polocrosse this year i run the risk of snapping his tendons which means he’d have to be put down if that happens and i lose my sapphire ring. Shitty shitty week.
