crap excuse! I’m a girl and I love xbox…don’t knock it til you’ve tried!

Haha Cords, I never knocked it. I am actually quite good at ‘gaming’ and the like. Just have no interest in owning one.

I don’t know a single female friends who does (that their partner doesn’t technically own or that was bought for them.

Actually i know a couple who own Wii, but i don’t think dance or singing games count LOL

Fair enough. I just thought laughing at the suggestion of you owning one might have meant that!

I have 4 or 5 good female friends who are well into gaming and own their own consoles, well apart from anything to do with boys. Some of them are even collectors and have old school consoles (SNES, 64, megadrive etc) that they collect games for.

Nah its all good. Just if you knew me you would laugh at someone asking if i owned a console!

Speaking of old school when i get an email from my boss’ wife (which comes from an andriod phone) says “sent from my commodore 64” LOVE IT

But we never had anything like it when i was growing up. We had a PC from as early as i can remember (anyone remember MicroBee?) Never a console,

I own a PS2 and we as a couple got a PS3 for our engagement gift ages ago LOL

haha when all my friends were getting Super Nintendo, my parents bought me an Atari 2600 from a Jewel supermarket…I think it was $36. My brother’s friends gave me heaps of their old games that they’d had when the atari was cool 10 years before. haha
I frign loved that thing. I only got rid of it a few years ago before I moved to sweden for a year and I still miss it sometimes.

I used to game a bit on PC, too as a kid. The original Wolfenstein was the bees knees! That and civilisation 2 took up many cold, canberra winter days!

Exactly my point. Did you really go out and buy the PS2 of your own accord or did someone (anyone not just Dark Cloud) buy it as a gift for you?

Thanks everyone. That actually makes sense!!! Def something like that could have happenewd whilst I was in japan.

Glad I could help. Going by what you have mentioned I would recommend purchasing something like a WDTV Live which is a simple to use network media player (so simple even my parents can use it!) It will have output options for an older TV but future expandability to a new tv with HDMI. It will also easily handle 1080p bluray rips and a variety of different codecs.

So I came home from work today as I was not feeling well (i liked my chiro suggestion of having the “Alcoholics cold” LOL)

Anyway yep old files are ok. There must have been some change in the last 3 weeks :-(

So does that mean I can no longer use my DVD system? :-(

Please birthday fairy be good to me!!!!

Hahahaahaa, I remember my older brother bought an Atari 2600 when they first came out!!!!!

I used to have to do deals with him in order to play it!!!!! Either that, or wait till he went out somewhere!!!!!

And Wolfenstein was the bomb!!!!! We used toplay that at work when they got the first PC’s to run the process software!!!!! Hahahahaa!!!!!

There used to be another game (that I can’t frigin remember the name atm, Doh!!!!), where ya in a Haunted House and ya blow zombies away with a shotgun, along with these green blobs that crawl along the ceilings and walls, and spiders that drop on ya from above!!!!! I gave that thing a hidin at work also!!!!!!

My first PC was a 386 or 486… Had Wolfenstein, F1 racing and Ducktails on it. As a kid (5 or 6), I used to kick ass at flying the aeroplane in ducktails to get to each of the locations to find the gold smile. We had to upgrade it to have a 3.5” floppy drive because it only had 5.25” floppy drive when we first got it.

first console ever i had was commodore 64 with tape drive dame i use to be so happy when i got it..
