I agree that there’s FAR too much ignorant bandwagon jumping going on already - like that idiotically misdirected “Mr. Daisey and the Apple Factory” beatup that’s been doing the rounds recently. However, if people are going to research (as they SHOULD), it’s best to stick to facts that are actually relevant to the case, and in the big scheme of things, the ability to locate Uganda on a map is WAY down the list.

In other words, make your research count. More time on Google, less time on Google Maps.

I’m with Chucky on this one.

It’s so easy to say “Your information is inaccurate or ineffective or you haven’t done enough research so you can’t have an opinion.”

Guys, it’s fine to have a better idea to go about something but unless YOU YOURSELF are doing something to help, then you are having less effect than the people you are picking on.

This happens every time people try to get people to change something in the world.
- This guy is stealing tens of thousands of kids to be soldiers - But they aren’t using the charity funds properly so I don’t have to do anything.
- We have environmental issues from burning fossil fuels - But someone said something unrelated about global warming being a myth… so I don’t have to do anything.

It’s called taking the LAZY way out. People as a whole will agree with the road that takes the least effort for them.

Maybe we try 100 methods for cleaner energy and only one works - WE STILL GOT ONE!
Maybe we try 100 methods for getting this guy - If we get him then it will be worth it. And even if we don’t. At least we tried.
If you don’t TRY, then you have already failed.

as one article said, sometimes doing nothing, is better than doing something.

The US have sent the military in to get this guy 6 times. Each time has failed and each time the LRA (or what left of them, it is almost disbanded) massacre and torture thousands of people as retribution. This Invisible children want to send money (well about 30% of all money raised, they have to pay off their mansions first) to get the Ugandan military to go in and hunt him down…again…after 6 failed attempts.

You know what the result will most likely be? they dont get him and thousands more people die in retaliation.

I agree Andy. Too much focus on the negative.

Doing nothing is better than doing something… particularly if you can’t be bothered to do anything.

They can’t be held responsible for a murderous overlord killing his people as retribution.
He himself is responsible for that.

He has already stolen tens of thousands of children before anyone came after him. That is the result of doing nothing.
I bet he won’t manage the same now that people are after him.
He will be murdering people till the day he dies, but if he’s on the run he will have a hard time of it.

EDIT: Actually dont worry about it.

I have debated this topic so much over the last few days and i couldnt be bothered to do it anymore.
