As most of you know, I have a bit to do with a club lodge. Rates for accom for this season are being set.
I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thoughts on a fair price per night are.
The accom is slide in / slide out on the side of a run (which opens two nights a week for night riding)
Booked by the room - 2 to 6 beds in each, total of 9 rooms.
Shared bathrooms (three bathrooms for nine rooms)
Linen and towels provided, you are asked to remove the bedding and place it in a bag on departure and vacuum your room.
Fully cooked breakfast, cooked for you when you order it each morning.
Two course dinner each night included in tariff.
If you have kids, tariff is about 50% of adult rate.
You can book per night anytime and are not locked into week long or two night weekend stays.
example - you wish to stay on a Wednesday night in August, you book a three bed room @ $150.00 per bed = $450.00 for the night.
Please answer honestly, I would love everyones thoughts.
I think $150-$170 in peak would be about right!!!!!
What are the other lodges goin for in Hotham?????
I have not done my market research into that yet, tonights mission.
Hard to compare apples with apples with all the variants thrown in.
I will vote for the top amount so I can see the results of the poll.
Thanks for voting Miz !!!!
with all the inlcusions, the proximity to snow (slinde in) i wouold say $180+ in peak times would be fair. mind you i would not pay this, i would stay elsewhere but for what it is that pricing would be fair
What would you pay Deano?
What would you lose to pay less?
What is the current rate/inclusions atm?????
Inclusions the same, rate was $100 per night
well mate, for me personally, i dont need the dinner/breaky. i can happily survive on oats in the morning (made myself), dinner i prob would grab at the pub prior to sinking 30 beers so iwouldnt need that.
With those removed i would hazard a guess that per night, a rate of $140-160ish would be fair (i have never stayed on snow except for once at Guthega, but that was a firends lodge so we got it for free so i really dont know the going rate, im speculating)
But for me, for a weekend snow trip especially down here in mexico, i will go for the cheap route and stay at Mt Beauty caravan park most times. but for others, families etc. i understand the want/need to stay on snow.
Its curently at 100/night? thats pretty damn good! i would def stay there for that price!
You said “fair price” so I voted $70.
What I would pay is whatever I can afford.
EG: Last year $990p/w for 3 months and copped a $1000 electricity bill.
2010 had free accom in a great place.
2009 $25,000 12 months
2008/07/06/05/04/03 slept in my car
2002/01 staff accom
2000 $450p/w for 3months.
I don’t think this helps you does it Azz?
I think your work here is down spaz, unless you can part some of knowledge as to how accommodation places work in NSW. Club lodges in particular.
Here’s last year’s rates for the place I stay at. It is BYO in terms of linen and food. It’s reasonably basic but it’s warm and comfortable and has plenty of gear storage and a huge drying room.
Thanks Mudhoney

Yeah but on second thoughts we need someone to obliterate themselves on a monster kicker for our amusement…
