Time for a new board! help!
Yeah mate, and that’s where a profile like the CamRock steps in!!!!!
With the rocker in the tip and tail, it rides great in pow!!!!! (I had it in 25cm in Whistler, and with it bein only a 156, my short board that I bought for Aus in spring, I had no probs with it at all)
Then with it havin the camber from bindin to bindin, it still held a good edge when it became icy!!!!!
I personally found that while the Lib-Tech (I had a T-Rice) felt great in the fresh stuff, the C2 made it a little squirrelly when it came to the hardpack!!!!! And especially when flatbasein!!!!!
Oh yeah, about the magne!!!!! I didn’t think that it held an edge any better than my cambered DC HKD in exactly the same size board!!!!! I actually found that my cambered board felt a lot more stable at speed on the hardpack, but put that down to the C2 shape!!!!! A well maintained edge will hold just as good as any board with the magne/frostbite edges for sure!!!!!
I definitely think that the C2 will be better for butters/boxes and rails though!!!!! Like I said, it would really come down to what type of feel that ya like to ride!!!!!

Ill have a look into those suggestions. Is it Burton that has slimewall or some such?
What didn’t you like about magne traction Mizu? or was it just that you felt it didn’t make much of a difference?
I’m pretty sure slimewalls is what’s on Ride boards

YES boards are back in the list 
. Ill settle on something for this season that seems to be fairly solid and ill test a few towards the end of the season and maybe get another one at the end of the year.
I’m looking forward to this season. After a few years of not being able to ride so much, I should get in a bit more this year. A new board would top it off nicely!

Yeah mate, Jez had a whole shebang of Lib’s and YES’s to try at last years Shred!!!!! It will be well worth the wait, as by the time ya test them, the equivalent previous years mod will most likely be goin on sale in Jindy!!!!!

I have a forum forever manual. It has a the chilli dog with pop profile. I think that’s wat the destroyer has? I havent looked into it yet sorry. But I think the destroyer is gonna be slightly stiffer and more all round shredding
My manual is heaps of fun. Can carve bloody well. I was doin the fastest and most intense carve runs I’ve ever done on some massive Japan groomers and it held on so well. Soft and great for presses buy doesnt lose pop and is very lively. Also rode great in Japan powder and I rode it centered -15/15 and it’s only 153cm
Ok I’ve looked now. I’m assuming ur not looking at the camber model Destroyer has double dog: camber rocker camber. Mine has chilli dog with pop which is sposed to be continous rocker with “pop” zones outside the feet. Buy lookin at the edge profile on my board it looks mor like a a mellow version of double dog. Flat or mellow camber wither end but the whole overall shape rocker

Personally I find the magnatraction works but thats just me, on both my banana and T Rice, un like Mizu I find the T Rice a pleasure to flatbase but that might be cause im a drunk.
Nitro Sub Zero has gulwing camber. Rocker in teh middle and camber under foot. It has their Drifter base. edges are lifterd up of the snow for catch free rail/kink riding.
Bateleon does Triple Base Tech. Lifted edges too I believe.
Does Burton have a version of this?

Oh hell no, gross, yuck, don’t go there.
Some multi camber boards like YES attempt to give you the best of both worlds (and do a pretty good job) though they are never quite as good as either. Though they may have more benefits over all.
But this gullwing/power banana crap, yuck. It’s the worst of both worlds and not one attribute as good as either rocker or camber.
The washy-ness of rocker and the catchy-ness of camber all rolled up into one useless plank.
But the real turn off for me - try and boardslide or nose/tail slide this thing. It has so many bends in it, you never know where your edges are. You couldn’t pay me to ride one of these things.
I guess the only person that would enjoy this, would be someone who never hits rails. And wants a rocker that carves a bit better. But if you want an in between rocker and camber board, go flat or get a YES board.
Just one mans opinion, but in snowboarding, it’s better to listen to the disapproval than the marketing.
I would look at the YES. Greats (CamRock), Rome Mod Rocker (flat between the feet, rocker nose and tail), Burton Super Hero (flat between the feet, rocker nose and tail), or even something like the Burton Joystick if you want full rocker.
It really depends on how you want the board to perform, flex preference etc. Yeah, rocker profiles will be less stable on hardpack and pretty much anything other than pow. But they are more playful, awesome for jibbing/pressing, and they float much better in the pow.
When do you want to buy a new board by? Demoing can be very helpful in determining what you really want. And we will have lots of demos at the Shred.
Another happy medium, maybe try the STEPCHILD JP Walker?????
Neither rocker nor camber, flat as a tack and as JP proves, it is a go anywhere do anythin profile!!!!!
Plus Warren Chapstick has one, and I’m sure ya can borrow it off him for a weekend!!!!!
