I hate anyone and everyone who will be riding tomorrow.. that is all..
tomorrow is day 9 of 10 that i’ve worked out of the past 11. Needless to say I’m pretty shattered and annoyed that as usual the good snow comes in for the weekend crowds GRRRRRRR..
but I will be taking in my black shell for a sneaky lap as soon as we’re open
I feel ya pain, finney!!!!!
Not the bit about the sneaky lap, though!!!!!
Will you make it by tmrw morning?
JF Pelchat was out riding Whistler pow. No highbacks - nice.
They look weird, but I would love to give them a go!!!!!
So how was the POW today, Jez????? Where’s ya blog entry????? Hurry up!!!!!
It’s coming. Stop being so agro! I just had to chill out after riding so much pow.
Yeah chucky, I saw that on his Facebook. Really looking forward to giving them a go.
Bloody kids make me agro!!!!!
It’s good to see that JF chooses to ride a YES Basic.
Rider’s Blog: Day 46
Another 13cm new snow overnight, making it 35cm in 24 hours this morning. Peak stayed closed yesterday so there was a whole bunch of pow just waiting to be shredded.
Being a weekend, a powder day, and presidents week - the lift lines were bound to be in full force. I rode down to Creekside in the morning and was shocked to see how big the line was. Anyway, focussing on the positives at hand, I decided a few awesome laps up at Peak would be an epic way to spend a super busy powder day. I met up with Skip, we went up Creek, and met Marc at Red. The three of us went straight over to Peak and got in line. Of course it was super busy there too but there is so much terrain off that chair, it was guaranteed freshies.
We decided to hit Doom and Gloom, and how good it was! Thigh deep and barely a track through it. We had an epic run and cut into lower VD trees instead of Grand Finale. Has some pretty sweet lines through there too. Bombed it down and back in line at Red.
Next run off Peak we decided to go VD trees. I feel this was a great decision and the snow was unreal. Had a blast shooting through the trees with Marc and Rico. Back in line at Red and up Peak again. There was so much fresh and untouched lines, we decided to hit VD trees one more time. Took a higher line this time and got more untouched pow. So stoked with the riding through there.
Marc and I decided to call it a day, after battling with crowds for a few hours. It was an epic day and I was happy to cut my losses there. Got a bunch of footage on the GoPro which I will go through eventually.
Looking back after our first run
Marc was stoked
That looks unreal!!!!!
In the first pic, is that a skier followin someone’s line (in the red jacket)????? With all that fresh around, why would ya do that?????
That’s about the point where you need to get out of the pow and into the tracks, to make it over the flat area to Grand Finale.
Ohh!!!!!
nice report jez ...
Talkin about report’s, how’s yours comin along, lano?????
to be honest with you i have not even started i have had a very crappy week that i am not in the mood for anything..
