hahaha ^
was fine until he put the canon on it
Stop hassling me!
And who gave you permission to post my photo K2? (I don’t want people knowing I use GoPro)
Note: I do not use GoPro
Note, Note: K2 sent me this shot via text the other day - it had me ROFL
just fyi, I have been speaking to a guy at JB Hifi who says they are in discussion with GoPro at present. He expects if things go as planned they should be stocking GoPro around April. JB has also stopped stocking Contour, not sure if this is associated with the gopro move.
I’m trying to get a gopro 2, anyone able to pass on some advice? Here’s a link to my thread…
You know my advice - it’s cemented by all the pro photog’s I’ve been around this week airing their dislike of GoPro well before I say anything.
The ones that hired GoPro’s?????

Imagine if he forgot to turn them on!!!!!
The ones that hired GoPro’s?????
Yes!
This is one reason they were so excited to get my contact details. The only wearable cameras they could find for hire were GoPro (they mustn’t have looked very hard). One they chest mounted on Craig Lowndes which got only footage of the centre of a steering wheel = fail. The other was on Kane’s helmet (ABC3) - the wind kept catching it, pulling his helmet back off his head, it got some great footage of the sky = fail #2.
Then there was the audio! Which brings me back to
GoPro doing what they were designed to do and doing it well
- since GoPro were design to capture audio how come they do it so poorly? (fail #3)
GoPro place full page magazine ads for GP2 claiming “Professional Quality Audio”. Yet they supply no mic accessory to capture it.
From what I’ve been hearing their place as #1 wearable camera is on the decline - Very similar to Contour’s story. Contour held the #1 spot for 2 years. GoPro’s reign has lasted for about the same length of time. Drift is the new kid on the block and the likely candidate for the position. While VIO will just rest on the fact that they produce the best and will continue to set the bar for the cheaper knock offs to copy.
As for GoPoo’s wifi set up:
Anyone notice they’ve pushed back the availability date? hmmmmm. I TOLD YOU SO.

With a wireless remote that wouldn’t happen. You could sync all the cams to the same channel as you can with Drift or VIO
A couple of mates and I are deciding to all chip in to get a GP2 next week. Thinking of buying it in store for $399, is there anywhere I can get it cheaper so we can buy accessories for it.
