Did they do any sort of memorial service for Sarah?

They did and apparently it was quite big. I was still in Australia and Michelle didn’t get to attend, so I didn’t really have any info for you. Sorry, I was meant to re-post that photo in the Sarah Burke thread. Anyway, I’m glad you saw it.

what boots you got ? fraking cursin my slx piss of $hi#

Yep, I have SL-10s (model before the SLX but same thing really). Best boots I’ve ever owned. I’ve put about 300 days through them so far.

What issues exactly were you having?

arent the slx the best of the best boots around?

Looked at a pair in Tahoe but my f20’s are;

a) comfy as hell and fit me perfectly
b) nothing wrong with them after 3 years

So i decided against it.

Had a great day today, started learning japan’s and overall just had a blast riding with Jeremy and Shane.

Pretty spent now but all in all a great day up the hill despite the icy conditions which were quite interesting at times as I’ve got little to no edges left on my board now raspberry

don’t get me wrong i love the boots first 2 days where so comfy except my little toe was getting little numb on my right foot but that went away, but for some weird reason last 4 days of my trip where nightmare my ankles where little swollen but just the pain in my ankle (part that i circled in red) was insane my last day i actually finished up 3 hours earlier as i really couldn’t take it any more.

other then that everything else was fine.

see pic its in red where my pain is.

that is not my foot just a picture i found online.

Hi all boarders,
Im going to be flying into Vancouver in a couple of weeks. Im going to be catching a bus to whistler. Does anyone have any recommendations on a reliable bus company to go with and the best way to go about booking it.
Thanks..

Try SnowBus or Pacific Coach. You can book online.

I’ve used Pacific Coach a number of times in the past and they’ve been really good and go directly from Vancouver international airport to Whistler.

hey! nice feet! /jk

Actually I have/had the same problem with you. I used to be great in 10.5 ions then went to 10’s which resulted in major pain on the ankle bone. Same thing with slx’s.
I tried many things to fix it: putting pads under the outside of the insole to lift the ankle up a bit and exchanging the imprint 5 liner for an imprint 4 (thanks Burton!). Angling the foot beds either in towards between the feet or out towards the outside helped (different directions on different days!). Also, barely tightening the lower zone and having the upper zone a bit tighter (but still loose) helped too. Finally, when the liners broke in they were good. For my SLX’s I have been using the broken in liners from my Ions all season. Now that the outer shell has broken in I used the brand new imprint 4 liners . They are snug but no ankle pain!
Good luck with this. It’s a lot of pain if you try to ignore it. I managed to get a deep bruise that always hurt last year. Then since that spot is extra sensitive it’s hard to figure out if something is better or not

I love my SLX boots. Easily the best I’ve ever owned.

Have you tried using the J-bars to take pressure off the sore area?
