So great for him that he got to be at the event, meet legends, and then ride the terrain, and get a pro photographer to take a rad shot of him!

Put it this way, Kimmy - if you were a mad keen tennis player and you were offered the chance to watch an exclusive, no public allowed game on Wimbledon centre court with the world’s best players, that’d be awesome, right? Then imagine if, once the game was over, they said you could go out and actually have a bit of a hit yourself, that’d be super awesome, right?
Yeah, that’s all nice - but then imagine if Roger Federer walked up and asked if you’d like to actually play a few sets with him, that’d be totally overwhelmingly mind blowing, right?
The rider in the pic who James went snowboarding with is Terje Håkonsen (my fault for not clarifying that earlier), arguably the world’s best snowboarder, ever.

Yeah. We first met when I was working with Australian Snowboarding magazine. James was in Australia (he grew up in the US) interning at Tracks (surfing) magazine for college credit. Naturally, through love of snowboarding, we started hanging out swapping stories. We caught up again in the US at the 2001 SIA Trade Show in Vegas - and I was stoked to see he’d scored a job with Snowboarder Magazine (the big US one). He’s had a few jobs since then, and now does online stuff. It’s really nice to know that his passion hasn’t waned over the years - and cool to see that Mark Sullivan (the founder/editor of Snowboarder Magazine) commented on his pic with Terje on Facebook, “You have arrived”.

Hell yeah! The only person I’d like to ride with more than Terje would be Craig Kelly. Unfortunately, he’s no longer with us. It’s nice to know that, as a founder of Baldface Lodge (where Supernatural was based), he’s been spiritually ‘reborn’ in this new style of competition, which pays homage to his life in snowboarding.
MASSIVELY STOKED that we finally get the keys to our new house today! Can’t wait to get in there and just chill before we start doing stuff.
