FYI Japan roads speeds are in Miles so MPH

Really? I didn’t know this!

I thought Japan was on the metric system, hence why all the road signs read KM (eg. Narita Airport   30km).. also my R33 import skyline had a kph dash!

weird…

i stand corrected
its Kph

Either which way

A 150km an hour in a 60m zone is still hella fast!!

150km an hour is like 6 seconds of acceleration on my honda?

very true

the Hakubus transfer was via coach and was much more relaxed.. took a bit longer but you could actually have a short nap on there if you wanted. The liquid snow transfer via the van was still ok, I think the driver was just trying to do his best to get us there at a reasonable hour.. scary at times though

Sick trip report, busta! shaka

I had a really good experience staying at High Mount Hotel last time I was there, but I will definitely look into Hotel Shakespeare before I book our next trip.

I’m stoked you scored such epic conditions while you were there! I was very lucky when I visited as well - so much pow!

Awesome mate, thanks for sharing this with us.

I am confused is the TR making you want to go to Japan or go to US?? I interpreted your post as NOT to go Japan. And wondered what he said to make you not go.

it makes me want to go.
i was planning to go jan/feb next year but my mates and i are considering doing miami/vegas over june/july

AWESOME trip report,
did u write a journal while u were there. so much detail.

thanks Sukah!

No journal and I usually have a sh*t memory, but there were small things here and there that I thought “hmmm have to remember to tell ppl about that” like the 3 prong input, 2 prong output powder adapter. All the Korjo ones in the airport a 2 prong input, 2 prong output.. but some of the aussie plugs that require earthing have 3 prongs, so the adapter becomes useless… I bought a US one thinking I could snap off the bottom prong but it was fail. Plus I would’ve saved heaps of cash if I just took everything I needed, rather than buy it over there at tourist prices.

awesome place though.. don’t think I’ll forget it, and I’ll be back for sure

re the adaptor. My dad pulled the third plug of a double adaptor. which was great I then had two three prong for the one adaptor!
