Chilling on whistler mountain under the peak to peak gondy thinking we had missed the final cat track. Lucky we hadn’t!
Nice photo. How was the snow today?
yeah pretty average, can’t wait for the next dump!!
wasent great. but not that many people either.
If it makes you feel any better, Mizu sprayed me in the face while I was filming. My goggles were off, jacket open, vents open, gloves off, and video camera out. He smashed me. I guess that’s karma.
Haha what a bastard!
Rider’s Blog: Days 30, 31, 32
Well it’s certainly great being back in Whistler. Sometimes I forget how much I love snowboarding and how much happiness it provides me. All it takes it one run to remind me what it means to me.
On my first day back, I slept in as I was seriously sleep deprived from travelling. I caught up with Marc for a couple of runs and I got to try his Tasman(iac) which was seriously fun. I rode a shorter one in Australia but didn’t get to carve properly due to the Aussie slush. Only did a few runs this day but it was awesome being back on the snow. The sun was shining and the snow cover had improved heaps since I left almost three weeks ago.
Later that day, Michelle, Mizu, Leanne, and I drove to Vancouver for the hockey. The game was between the Vancouver Canucks and the Detroit Red Wings. The sunset on the drive was beautiful and we got a few quick snaps. The game was sick; the stadium was packed and it finished 3-3, so it went to overtime. Still no winner so it went to a shootout. Unfortunately the Canucks lost in the shootout. It was a seriously fun evening though!
On day 31, I went up with Michelle for a couple of hours. We had a lot of fun doing really fast laps down to green, red, and the village. Not too much else to report but we had a lot of fun riding together.
Day 32 was the highlight for sure. I caught up with Mr and Mrs Mizu, Skip and a couple of his buddies. We went riding over at Blackcomb and caught up with Michelle and her class briefly. We did a few runs and rode down to the village, went back up Whistler and did a top to bottom. All in all, it was a really fun day with a good bunch of friends.

Rider’s Blog: Days 33, 34, 35
Once again I have fallen behind with my blog. Mizu is very demanding and has been keeping me busy. Unfortunately no photos to accompany this one, but the last few days have been fun.
I’ve been riding with Mizu pretty much every day. We’ve had fun days with finney and Shaner. Yesterday in particular was really fun. It was snowing rather heavy for a few hours and we rode till last lift. Mostly riding hit run down to Red and Garb. There’s some really good side hits around the place and without fresh snow it’s been a solid choice. Took Mizu to West Bowl today to show him the area. There was a couple of cm of fresh but not enough to truly experience the bowl.
Went out for beers last night with Mizu and Leanne. Went out for beers this arvo with Jeremy from Olliepop and Dan Currie. It’s the first time I’ve met Dan and he’s a super cool dude. Jeremy gave me my GoPro back so I’m ready to start filming.
Sorry for the short blog post covering the last three days. I’ll get back into it for the next post. Hopefully with photos and videos soon.
hehe…. just saw another thread and Noticed Mizu avatar! Can’t wait til he is back!
Although I will prob miss the initial fall out!

Oh and sounds like he is living up to his title

I’m keen to go film some stuff on my next days off.. I did promise a TG lap a few pages back so if you’re keen to do that on Monday let me know as I’ve had a lot of fun there early in the morning before it gets packed with full runs through with no stops.
