After an action packed morning that saw a huge, shifting, NW swell at Pipe, the event was deemed incontestable at 10:30 am and has been cancelled for the day.. Here are some of the highlights from before the contest was called off.

DAY THREE HIGHLIGHTS
NORTH SHORE, Oahu—(Jan. 31, 2012)—The third day of competition for the 2012 Volcom Pipe Pro started this morning in absolutely perfect 10-12 foot Pipeline. We awoke to pumping surf that cranked all day long from the same WNW swell that washed out Pipeline yesterday.
FINAL DAY HIGHLIGHTS
Hawaii’s John John Florence created one of professional surfing’s most dramatic moments today to claim his second consecutive Volcom Pipe Pro title, completely flipping the table on former Pipe Pro champion Jamie O’Brien (Hawaii) in the final seconds.
