The BOARDWORLD Forums ran from 2009 to 2021 and are now closed and viewable here as an archive
‘Borrowing’ from the legendary Christian Hosoi’s skateboards (originally dating back to the early 90’s), Rome‘s 2013 ‘Hammerhead’ knocks Chemical Storm off the podium for quirky tip/tail design.
NOW snowboarding aren’t the only ones raising the bar in genuinely innovative binding tech. Spark R&D‘s new ‘Edison’ system is amazingly simple and fast - and can be used with both splitboards and regular boards!
It’s pretty nice, but I think it will take off a lot more in the splitboard market.
The clip should hold well and being able to take the bindings off quickly for cleaning and transport is nice but I don’t think it’s a reason to go out and buy a set of these unless you needed bindings and you liked the look and feel.

Absolutely. You’d only consider these bindings if they were primarily for splitboarding - it’s just nice to be able to use them on a standard board should the need arise.
This has got to be the standout product for 2013! Everybody’s gonna want one of these babies!!! I heard that they’re the pinnacle of action sports technology - and once you’ve used one, your life becomes a perfect 100!!!!!!!! Snow leopard patterned leggings optional.
have never liked Lib Tech’s graphics, and next years models keep my opinion the same…

Yeah mate, they’re not doing themselves any favours.
Meh, I’m all about the Shaun White scooters this year anyway. I’m gonna get a few in different colours - and buy matching spandex leggings for each of them!!!

I’ve pre-ordered mine! Should get it just after I get back from Canada. Really should be posting this in the STOKE thread..

Done.
got any pics of the Arbor range for next year, Chucky?
These are the 2013 Arbor ‘Draft’ and ‘Cadence’ models.
Oh yeah, and just like everybody else, Arbor are getting into splitboards (I actually thought they would have done it sooner?). This is their 2013 ‘Abacus’ model.
Not a fan of the topsheet (I’m really trying hard to resist the obvious references), but the simple diecut base is nice.
I quite like the ‘Cadence’ graphic, and I’m pretty much over Arbor‘s flogging the woodgrain dead horse. Enough already!
That being said, the 2013 Arbor ‘Wasteland’ (flanked by the ‘A Frame’ and ‘Roundhouse’) looks really impressive!
thanks for that! the draft looks sick (that was what I was hoping to see). That was the 153 and the 155. I wonder if they’ll have another colourway? I think they had 3 diff options on the draft last year. The 150 is what I’m interested in!
I kinda like the Arbor woodgrain stuff - although they have done a lot of it, I agree.
The arbor splitboard topsheet looks like a skidmark
