Board help
Hey guys sorry to start a new topic but i need some help in purchasing a new board, i currently have a burton blunt but i reckon its to sluggish, im looking for something with a little more pop but also something that will handle well for next season in JAPOW.
Ive been have a look at the K2-www, Rome- reverb or a Rome Agent, the kind of riding ill be doing is mainly cruising and looking for natural terrain to hit but also park aswell jibs rails ect.

Hey mate, not sure what the Romes are like but if you are looking for something that has more pop I would choose the Parkstar over the WWW. The WWW is super soft (havent riden a new one so not exactly sure on pop). The Parkstar is a better board for cruising and natural terrain and will serve you a bit better in Japan. It is pretty poppy due to its carbon inserts, but is still fun as hell to butter and jib rails.
You can ride a WWW in pow and all mtn, but wont be as stable or as lively. Its really a pure jib/street board
I am taking two new boards to Japan in two weeks time, a Ride Machete and Gnu Park Pickle. I have previously only ridden cambered boards. The Machete has low rise rocker whilst the PP has asym BTX. I will let you know how they go.
The Rome Agent rocker is an awesome board (so is the full cambered version). Do-it-all freestyle board which can handle pow due to its camber profile. I really rate this board highly.
Obviously there are better boards for pow, but you like riding park too; versatility is key. Boards with hybrid camber profiles will for the most part give you the versatility you need.
Rome, YES, Burton, Lib Tech, K2 etc. all have boards like this. Go with whichever brand you’re most stoked on and what’s available at your local store. Also make sure you get a board with a sintered base; that’s probably one reason your Blunt feels sluggish.

Yeh a sintered base is a must. My WWW is the same base type as ur blunt and feels like it really slows down.

Hit up something like the Yes Tasman(iac) for speed and park. I rode a 152 at the shred and it was stable as and heaps poppy / fun on boxes etc.
I love the YES. boards. Really want to get my hands on next year’s Greats. You can definitely find a board to meet your needs in the YES. range.

I know you had no bad intention Sukah, but the BW forums strongly support aussie retailers who are trying to support the local snowboard industry…so we can’t give you much help with dogfunk or any other international site. Hope you understand!

Most leading brands can’t be shipped to Australia from overseas stores anyway. That’s a policy put in place by the brands themselves to support the Australian industry. Likewise, we do whatever we can here to support the Australian industry.
im all about suporting local trade too all my gear i bought last year was local. but if i see something i like online im buying it specially if its cheaper.
Where do people on here from sydney recommend coz the place i went to on the weekend was terrible, the bloke in the store only wanted to talk about himself didnt listen to any of my questions, and was clearly just trying to sell me gear they wanted or need to get rid off. And then seemed agigtated that i didnt make a purchase ( as i am still in research mode and am not ready to commit my hard earned dollars yet).

It will actually cost you more from Dogfunk at the moment than coming over to North Sydney and getting it from One Track Mind (and you can meet me for a beer

Shipping from the states is about $150. I have done it before but it was a $700 snowboard for $180 so it was a little better than good. lol.
The Parkstar is currently $430 + $150 shipping = $580. (No warranty for international purchases).

They only have the 159 but if you want something else, there are tons of places to look at.

Which includes Warranty and I’m pretty sure they give you something like a $400 tuning card. So take it for a ride and they will wax and edge it for free!
Save about $55 and buy in Australia
P.S. Just checked Dogfunk’s “Can’t ship out of US” and K2 is on it…
And shipping was $100. So same price from Dogfunk or AUS lol.
