Day off. Yay,. shame the weathers not so good, least its not raining in Jindy….
So I return home from 2 weeks in Whistler to flooding. I hadn’t even realised it had been raining the whole time I was away! Very luckily made it back to Narrabri from Tamworth last night before the highway got closed down. Best friend over in Moree is sandbagging her house, it will probably have water in it by tomorrow morning The river here has well and truly broken banks, the sports fields are completely under and quite a few roads about town have already been cut off. At the moment I can get to town in a roundabout way, but i expect that to be closed by this afternoon, thankfully i’ve got groceries and a bucket of movies to watch Funny thing is we normally dont flood until 2-3 days after the rain has stopped & it comes down from the dams… but the rain is still falling
