You know it is days like these when I am glad I found this community, this in some ways, extended family…
I am tired & angry & emotional but once again i have to applaude Jeremy for building this fabulous community.
Today sadly I am almost ashamed to be a skier and if it wasn’t a place like this that reminded me that there are decent humans in the world (males especially!!) well it would be even sader!
So I just wanted to say I love you guys!! And looking forward to shredding with and meeting more of you in the future!
Peace, love and mungbeans!!
nawww sorry you’re having a crappy day ozgirl! Hoping things are looking up for you soon!
Have you been drinkin again, oz????? Is there a sticker on ya forehead?????
Hey Oz
Totally understand and agree. Unfortunately some people in this world have no consideration.
Do not take their “thoughts” on board. We as skiers have nothing to be ashamed off, it is those people who should reconsider their morale stances.
I will not be revisiting those that have (to me) reviled a great woman of our sport on the day of her passing. Even google reengineered their search engines to bring her amazing contribution ahead of her photographic achievements.
Like you I believe in remembering people for their achievements and not their tits.
Wholeheartedly agree with you Vetski!!!!!
Even if she chose to do the shoot and loved doin it, and was proud with how it all worked out for her, there’s a time and place for pics like that, and in a tribute to someone’s life in such an emotional time as their passing, is a bit insensitive and down right stupid!!!!!
I’m sure their would be pics of her and her mates bein drunk and stupid also, but would the family chose such an image to be viewed at her funeral????? Pretty sure I wouldn’t want that for my kids, and most sane people wouldn’t want it also!!!!! And If someone thought that it would be appropriate, then that person and I would have issues for sure!!!!!
One word - Disrespectful!!!!!
Exactly Mizu
Thanks for the support - I was trying not to say on here what I was upset about as I don’t want to draw any more attention to it than it already has (the pic itself is now appearing first on google images :sigh:)
I was more trying to say how happy I am to be part of such a great community here and we can all laugh and joke (and perve when appropriate!) and even behave like adults when required :0)
This community is awesome
Like one big family!
I agree with all of you!
Where I live there are almost no boarders so having a community who shares my love for snow is awesome!!
(although I’m not sure what pic you are talking about?)
Sarah Burke posed for fhm, the photo is nothing really. her in a pair of undies with skis covering her boobs.
Yeah, the pic is no biggie, but to post it into a tribute????? Time and a place for everythin!!!!!
Guys I really didn’t want to turn this into something big on here so can we drop it?
But yeah Deano - I am not a prude just didn’t think it was an appropriate image for the forum.
it was posted on here? i havent been looking at the tribute but yeh, its far from appropriate for a tribute page.
Nah, it was posted on the site that prides itself as Australia’s premier snow forecastin website, yet for some reason it has trouble predictin that a negative reaction might be possible when it comes postin soft porn pictures in a tribute to someone that has just passed away!!!!!
And if that’s not enough, defends their actions by attackin someone that points out the inappropriateness of it!!!!! Go figure!!!!!
oh really now? good one dicks…
