It’s 6:40am, I’m up and about to shoot out the door to make sure I get near the front of the line for the lifts as there was 22cm in the past 12hours…

I’ll apologise in advance as there will be no photos or video from today hahaha

ok so I lied.. I had no intention of taking photos but managed to take the phone out at a few points to take some photos.

Day started off walking to the village to meet up with Chantelle and then after a bit of waiting around shot up Fitzsimmons on first chair then up Garbanzo. i’d be wanting to hit the lift line there for a while now as I’d never done it before and was waiting for the right day to hit it, today was that day. Had an absolute blast launching off the moguls and rollers the whole way down copping face shots from time to time. There was only a very few lines down it so there was tonnes of fresh snow to be had so it was well worth the wait to hit it on the right day thats for sure. It’s one of those lines that you hit only when the snow is fresh and before too many other people had hit it.

After that shot into the trees straight off the top of Garbanzo and got first lines through there followed by Side Order which surprisingly hadn’t been hit either so we managed to get the first lines through there which was brilliant. Did another lap down to Red chair afterwards through one of my favourite lines under the chair onto Jimy’s Joker and shot into the Roundhouse to meet up with Shane. Whilst meeting up and grabbing a quick snack I got a call from Marc saying that peak chair was opening very shortly so we shot down there and would have been within the first 10 chairs up the top. Did a bomb lap down Shale Slope followed by another lap down Key West. Both laps were brilliant being blinded every 2nd turn by the spray which made for some of the craziest face shots I’ve ever had. Winds were really high up top with gusts in the 60’s and very poor visibility so we then shot off into VD trees where we once again got fresh turns in some seriously deep snow, was having flash backs of last seasons runs through there after the week long storm.

For the final lap we shot down Million Dollar Ridge which whilst a little tracked out was still great fun - Shane was long gone as soon as we got into the trees but I was kind of expecting this to happen hahaha Made it down to Creekside and then after a quick break to rest the legs shot into the village for some drinks and wings at Crystal.

Without a doubt the best snow I’ve had all season so I couldn’t be happier right now cheese

Now for some of the pics..
