BINDINGS, WHAT DO YA STRAP YASELF INTO?????

Mizu you have to consciously give them a good kick to make them fold forward on themselves far enough to stay out of the way. I’ve tripped on it a few times while trying to load on the chairlifts as well which is embarrassing! I’m sure there are plenty who ride rear-entry bindings out there who don’t have any problems (scotty lago if he’s still riding for flow? seems to handle it fine) but for a run-of-the-mill kook like me it cause the odd problem!

humdingaling…Haven’t ridden much powder except for a short but fairly deep run at Cardona…not really long enough to notice any problem - little bit more annoying to strap into in powder though I guess…what sort of a problem were you imagining?

yeah like deano said, cleaning out the boots so you can enter

BUT you have to admit it would be awesome to just step in while getting off the lift and just cruise off!

That was the one and only advantage!!!!! Given that there wasn’t any ice build up in them!!!!!

You two must look like this?????

Ah those were the days! (that was taken last year)

yeah!  what were we talking about again?

At the moment I have 09 Burton Mission bindings, 1st set I owned, have liked the toe straps and they felt comfy although a little too much flex for the riding I am doing, I am looking at upgrading to Flux RK30 which should feel a lot stiffer

Welcome to Boardworld Shorty!!!!!  cool grin

I went straight from a pair of 09 Missions to my FLUX Super Diamonds (Now named the DMCC), cause I wanted a stiffer/more responsive binder!!!!!

In my honest, I reckon that the RK30’s will be a bit soft due to the urethane highback!!!!! The TT30 (I am yet to test mine, but only a week till Whistler), or even another notch up with the SF45’s will be better if ya want a stiffer set of binders!!!!! Also note that the SF45’s have a asym highback that ya can swap over from left/right to give a softer/harder ride as well!!!!!

Great to see another FLUX lover on here!!!!!

CJ how did you find the flex on the Raiden Zeroes?

In the high back it was fine for me because it didn’t give any unnecessary pressure anywhere, as well as being able to do quick and easy high back adjustments. The metal heel cup gives awesome toe and heel response so carving was a breeze I found.
Flex through the board was great. The smaller disc with the smaller foot makes a difference, I didn’t feel like I had a massive dead spot under my feet.
I hope that answer your question mudhoney.

thanks, CJ, I’m just trying to judge if they’re more on the soft or stiff side overall.  I’m glad you said they’re good carvers.

Thanks Mizu

yea not exactly sure which Binding I will purchase I will be in Tahoe in 9 days so hopefully going to demo a few to find the one I want but with all the reading I have been doing on Flux they seam the way to go

Just got a new set of Flux TT30’s. Yet to ride them but will when I go to JPan in Mid Feb.
Used to ride Salomon SP2 bindings. Had them since 2006 and have been bullet proof but ratchets play up when it is real cold. Will still take them away with me a put on spare board
I sadly have ridden the K2 Clinkers on a K2 Fatbob. They were cool to click straight into off the chair but generally SUCKED.
