I’d love to try these bindings. I wonder if they have a distributor for Australia yet?
Dude, they’re based in Whistler.
(hint, hint)
Not really my thing. I think there will be a few established distributors trying to get the account.
I think I recall seeing Amine’s username pop up as a follower on Instagram - and did you notice what brand of board they’re mounted to in that video? Hmmmmmmmm - could be just coincidental.
Oh, and Nidecker are handling production of the bindings. Hmmmmmmmm, don’t they make YES boards?
By the way, Alex Warburton is JF Pelchat’s partner in the business. Who’s he the brand manager for? (hint, if I said it was a YES or no answer, I’d be half right)
i see where your going with this…
YES, I think that I’m also onto him!!!!!
I messaged Amine, so I guess we’ll know soon enough?
WTF???????????????????????????????????//
Am I missing something, I have watched all those vids and did a quick google search and am still none the wiser as to WTF these bindings actually do that is so different? They look like they have some weird hinge in the middle but it doesn’t appear to be functional, I dunno I find it hard to get excited about anything when all I can see and hear are what amount to fluff pieces from different pro riders. Somebody tell me what the go is please as right now I feel like I’m missing the point?
Yeah, it pivots/rocks back and forth on the hinge against rubbers under the heel and toe!!!!!
Not quite sure as to what it would actually do????? Make it less responsive you would think????? Make the flex softer, therefore make it good/better for jibbin?????

Same here??
I cant wait see the binding first hand at #SIA12 in Denver next week, and then test them (and the 12/13 YES. & JONES models) as well at Winter Park.
...Some pretty credible people are raving about the tech, so im pretty excited to see how different it rides! Stay Tuned…..
^ Can’t wait to hear what you have to say once you’ve seen/ridden them, Amine.

Basically, physics tell us that force concentrated on a smaller area exerts greater pressure than when spread out over a larger area - so unlike a regular binding which spreads underfoot pressure fairly evenly, these bindings effectively concentrate pressure on the toeside and heelside edges.

Yeah, makes sense!!!!!
They look like they have some weird hinge in the middle but it doesn’t appear to be functional. . .
It’s functional. Imagine the binding is a see-saw with its ends at the toeside/heelside edges. The fulcrum is fixed to the board via metal brackets extending from the binding disc - which extend up to the axis point (the round fluoro circular thing).
