FINALLY, JF Pelchat has revealed his flagship product from his new company ‘NOW Snowboarding’ - a unique and innovative binding which could revolutionise the entire industry!
Some of you may recall my mentioning these bindings about a month ago. I hadn’t actually (fully) seen them at that stage, because (just like they do with prototype car testing) the unique/distinctive parts of the bindings were covered up with tape etc. to disguise them. Now I’ve seen them, and it all makes so much sense! Testers were raving about the incredible edge hold, without the need for cranking your bindings or boots tight - or even highbacks! This is due to the binding being more attached to your feet than it is to the board. This video’s just been released, so I can just let it do the explaining:
No more sore feet from cranking down your bindings or doing your boots up too tight! I can’t wait to test these out for myself!
That looks very cool. Makes sense really.
I’ll try them after you mate
They’ve got riders like Jeremy Jones, Devun Walsh, DCP, Roman de Marchi, and even Travis Rice talking them up - so you KNOW they’re onto something good! This looks like it could be a game changer! If these are anywhere near as good as the testers say they are, they could do for the binding industry what sidecut did for the ski industry!
im down… keen as mustard to test them
Very interesting and exciting!
I wonder how responsive the bindings would be though. When you move to initiate an edge you may have to wait for the binding to “rock” over?? We’ll see…

They love ‘em!
And here’s what JF has to say:
I’ve been watching his video updates, seems very interesting concept. Most probably will get this binding if I’m still in Canada land after summer.
I’d love to try these bindings. I wonder if they have a distributor for Australia yet?
get on it Jez! haha
Not really my thing. I think there will be a few established distributors trying to get the account.
oh, i wasnt implying you be a distributor. i was implying im sure you will be able to find out who the distros are
Now that I can do. Being such a new product, I doubt anyone will have it yet. Keep you posted.
Hmmmm, I think that it will be great for park/street but like Dan questioned, I reckon that you are bound to lose some responsiveness!!!!
