Rider’s Blog: Day 27
Had a late start today and a super late finish. It was a beautiful bluebird day up there. Caught up with the crew at Harmony and we headed over to the Saddle to bomb a run. We cruised to Red, then to Green, then did a couple of park laps (although I was mainly just checking out the new features). Somewhere in there, we did a run down to Creekside, as they have been making snow all the way to the bottom for the last two days non-stop. The cover is really nice down there and there are some fun rollers along the way.
Finney and I did a couple of really fast late laps till last chair. I really wanted to be the last person on the mountain, so I went inside to the Roundhouse to warm up (and play Mario Cart on Nintendo DS - I won the Grand Prix BTW haha).
I rode down to Red really late in the afternoon. The cats had already started grooming so I had a fresh corduroy run down to Red, with not one person on the mountain. I chilled at Red for a bit talking to one of the patrollers. I grabbed some photos as the sun was going down over the mountains. The run down to Creekside was sick; heaps of man-made snow had built up in areas, and I had more freshly groomed snow all the way to the house. A very surreal and fun way to end the day.

Nice pics, Jez!!!!! Can’t wait to get over there!!!!!
Are ya sure that wasn’t fast eddie in the first pic????? The one with the leopard pants and jacket with the fur collar!!!!!
Indeed it was a great day however I’m paying the price for it today. Feels like I compressed my back a bit off the first box in the whis park with the landing being all bombed out, landed a bit tail heavy after nose pressing and tail tapping it at the end - feeling pretty stiff and sore now so icing it up so it’s hopefully it’ll be all good before my next days off since the terrain garden is looking brilliant - did a quick lap through the TG this morning before calling it quits with the back pain I’ve got and it looks the best it has all season, few small jump lines, rainbow, tabletop jump which looks mint for spinning over and some ride on boxes.
Still trying to ride as much switch as possible which is paying off as I’m getting a lot more confidence up with side hits and landing cab180’s along with both switch and regular back 180’s
It’s been awesome watching you progress so much this season, mate!

Rider’s Blog: Day 28
One run wonder: I went up super late again today, chilled in the Roundhouse for a bit, and waited for the groomers to start grooming. I left for a last run just before Ski Patrol left to do their sweep. No one on the hill, fresh corduroy groomers all the way to the village. So fast and so much fun. I need to do this more often. Not much else to report today.

Yeah, Jeremy got here a couple of days ago. Catching up with him before I leave.
Anyone be riding tomorrow? I’‘ll be demoin some boards in the morning, up for a cruise later on.

Cheers buddy - haven’t been so stoked on riding in a long time.
Back was still a bit stiff and sore this morning. Went into work and it’s feeling great after being active all day which has me pretty sure that I didn’t compress it and moreso just tweaked a muscle which is great.
Another clear day up on whistler today with unlimited visibility but the cloud increased over the day.
If you’ve been up over the past few days you would have no doubt heard the huge amount of avalanche dog training thats been going on. Was walking to the roundhouse this morning to grab some breakfast and they were all out with their respective patrollers so I grabbed some quick photos on my phone of them outside the patrol/maintenance/alpine building at the top and then another shot of them all walking off past the top of emerald.
here is a quick crappy edit..
