it started out when i was 10 and i went on a family holiday, my first time to the snow, falls creek victoria, mum and dad reckon that they had never seen me soo excited when we finally reached the white stuff. always the first one up in the mornings and last to come in at night.
Snowboarding, i dont know how or why, but it seems to motivate me and influence every decision i make in my life now, even tho i live on the mid north coast. snowboarding is the reason i get out of bed in the morning and go to work.
Since falls creek i have been to perisher a few times and queenstown NZ once, im just itching to get back into it. im hoping to go back to NZ this season and in a few years time when i finish my apprentership im going to live and work in canada for atleast 12 months.
There’s just something about that magic white powder under your feet that makes you feel alive and takes all your worries away, and that first run of the season, its like getting your heart started again, ready for more big air 
and sweet jibs

What snowboarding means to me and why you should be doing it!
Well to be short it’s freaking awesome!
But that would be a bit of a cheap one ^^
Let me first start with how I got into snowboarding.
I first started skiing with my family when I was about 9(this is a guess since I don’t remember it :p).
And I started boarding when I was about 12(again a guess).
I always loved going on skiing holidays I don’t know why but lying in the sun for hours is nothing for me.
If I can choose I’ll go -20°C boarding trip then +28°C baking in the sun.
Although I went surfing this summer and enjoyed it very much I still prefer boarding!
I really started getting in to snowboarding about a year or three ago.
Also my first ski vacation with friends. And I think what they said afterwards really shows how much I love boarding.
(translated)“Before the ski trip we weren’t really sure about you”(I should point out that I only knew them for about a year and I was pretty asocial)“But on the trip we really saw an other *insert real name ^^*. Totally more awesome, relaxed, in habit.”
She is still one of my best friends ^^.

I can’t say it better myself I guess. When I go snowboarding is like falling in love for the first time over and over again.
When going down the mountain I feel like the world is mine, like I’m flying, pure fun.
Even the smell of the board/ski drying room makes me happy.
Of course I also enjoy the aprés-ski, the travelling, the view, the people, the mountains, the typical drinks and food of Austria, just about everything I enjoy. And then to share this with friends, having fun on the lift on the way up, covering each other up in snow, snowfights, partying together and even just have dinner together.
To me snowboarding is way more then just a sport. It’s a lifestyle, a way of living, a way of thinking, dressing, acting, ...

Of course if I need to convince someone new to go snowboarding they probably will think of a blue ass, more lying on the ground with the face in the snow and a lot of pain ^^ but to me that doesn’t matter I recently just got my frontside boardside right and yes I fell many times but I don’t care.I just get back up, and do it again until I did it ^^
I don’t think I need to convince anyone here to go boarding again. 
My dream one day is to do competition(one day ^^)
Until then I enjoy every freaking second I’m on my board and I suggest you do the same!
(To end I want to thank everyone who supported me in snowboarding(aka parents, friends, ... and yes even you guys!).
I think it’s about 7 months since I joined here and I enjoyed every minute of it! and I hope to one day come to Australia :D)
