Bluebird Wax

Avatar

So I’ve been doing some reading up on Bluebird wax and I hear great things only thing that is confusing me a bit is that according to bluebird you are suppose to scrape the wax off right away, just wondering what you guys think about that and also what effect scraping off right away has on the actual wax job itself.

It I do scrape it off right away, when can I got over it with a brush or should I?

Just wondering because from my understanding the longer you keep wax on before scraping the better off you will be, well when it comes to regular waxes that is.

I use bluebird wax, it’s the same as any other wax. Iron it, wait for a bit (I usually leave it for a day, but 30 minutes - 1 hour should still be good), and scrape it. You can brush it after you scrape it off.

Yeh, I cant see why it should be different. The board surface will still react the same. The longer you wait the more the pores will close from cooling and push out any excess wax

That’s the same thing I assumed but I emailed bluebird and they say because there waxes are harder then most that’s why you need to scrape immediately, but the absorbing part hmmm I’ll ask them see what they say

Try Choad Cheese Snowboard Wax, it’s handcrafted in the USA.

I used Bluebird wax and now Beaver Wax. Both are good, beaver wax supposedly more environmentally friendly or what not.

So is bluebird no?

No idea if they’re environmentally friendly or not.

Checked up the other brands and bluebird seems to be top of the line, I’m sticking with it for another season
