Well it looks like it has finally started snowing at Buller. Been checking the cams pretty regularly for the last coupl eof weeks and up till now have only seen a fairly sad bit of snow at the feet of the snow guns on Bourke St. Now it looks like it’s actually winter up there. Bout time too, my car was telling it’s only 10 degrees outside at lunchtime in Bayswater!

Snowatch.com.au Long Range Forecast 08/06/2010
Cool temps for most of this week should see some snowmaking at the resorts. With a few cms of natural snow to fall on Wednesday and Thursday we could see a few lifts running for the official start of the season on Saturday.
There is a strong system that should arrive overnight on the 17th bringing strong winds. At this stage it looks like the high above with keep most of the moisture under the mountains meaning only light snowfalls on the 18th and into the 20th, although it is still possible that the high may weaken slightly over the next week and allow the main front to bring some good snow.
The 21st could see some light snowfalls but nothing to get excited about at this stage. More follow up snow is likely in the last week of June with a good dump on the cards around the 27th-29th. More snowfalls look likely the first week of July also.
gonna head up next week :D
Next weekend for me woooooooohooooooooo
nice lets hope it keeps coming
Can’t wait to get out there!!!
