Hey Everyone,
Where are people heading for the best snow this upcoming winter season?
Thredbo, Perisher, NZ, Hotham etc.. what is everyone’s opinion..
Any ideas on the costs involved, what is the best value for money?
Cheers Guys!
well i’m only heading out to perisher this year, it’s not that expensive the lift tickets are at just over a 100, i think somewhere around 105 mark.. and you get pretty good deals with The Station (but, you’re probably already familiar with it). still here’s the link
http://www.perisherblue.com.au/winter/station/index.html
and there’s other accomodations you can get a hold off.. like self maintained houses.. some people tend to go camping as well, which is like half way between Jindabyne and Perisher just past entrance to the national park.. That’s ofcourse if you wanna experience really cold nights lol..
There is a good thread here. https://www.boardworld.com.au/forums/viewthread/722/
I’ll be at Buller, and Threado for the jump bag!
Nothing booked thus far.
The LJ has a great deal for the first 2 weeks of the season: 2 day lift pass at Thredbo, 2 nights accom, 2 breakfasts for $280
Shame is, there won’t be any snow in the first 2 weeks of the season!!
Otherwise I’ll just be cruising down for the odd day here and there, mainly Thredbo
Might go Charlotte’s just because I havn’t done it before, plus it’s great value - $89 for oversnow transport to and from Perisher, lift pass and lunch.
Ok cool, sounds like there are some great offers around and about. I guess it will just take time to research and all depends on when the snow begins to fall and gets worthwhile. I am considering NZ as an option.. seeing as prices compare between there and here. I reckon a week somewhere would be awesome, cant wait!
Seriously hanging for my NZ trip in July/August.
14 nights in queenstown including remarkables, coronet peak, cardrona, treble cone and a Heli Boarding trip.
Ill post some serious photos when i get back
Brendo that sounds AWESOME!
you’ll probably get a little bored of coronet, so best to not be lazy and just drive to the easiest one!

What’s a fergburger?
Fergburger is a hamburger resturant in Queenstown. They have a awesome range of burgers, which are huge and super tasty.
Can’t wait to try one. Haven’t stopped hearing about these things since I booked my NZ trip!
