Hi all, only just found the intro section haha!

Only been here a few days and love the site, I’m also a member of trusnow.com forum witch is pretty cool if ya haven’t checked it out yet.

Bit about myself, my name is Mark, 22 from WA, never boarded before never even seen snow but have my first trip to big white in feb,

I have a burton clash 151 with cartel bindings, neither of them have touched snow yet, although my carpet shredding is getting better,

Other than boarding I race enduro dirt bikes, that’s my true passion, also trying to get into surfing (live right near some mad surf spots down south) and a little skating and mountain biking,

I also work FIfO so lots of time off for those board trips, so if people are keen for little 5 dayers to kiwi and the like let me know!!

Can’t wait to get into it.

So they will pay for you to go to NZ. MAD.

Should totally become a miner…

A snow virgin as they say(ok as I say :D)
WELCOME to the most-time-wasting-most-freaking-epic-board-forum-in-the-world :D

btw I googled FIfO and witch didn’t gave any good answers(we’re doomed O_o) so any link to a site would be helpful ^^

(pro-tip: everyone is nuts here!)

Scarface Fifo stands for Fly In-Fly Out which refers to a job (most commonly in the mining industry) where you fly to a remote location where the mine is (could be anywhere from a 1-4hour flight - Australia is a massive country!), work long hours for a few weeks, earn excellent wages and then fly home again for a week or two of down time.

Mark which mine do you work at? I’ve got a mate working as a kitchen hand - 2 weeks on, 1 week off and clearing $1600pw after tax. I thought about trying to do it too but I’m enrolled to do uni fulltime (online) next year now so I don’t think the two would combine too well together.

Haha FIFO stands for Fly In Fly Out, I live in Bunbury (south west WA) but work in the Pilbara, Christmas creek to be exact, bout 80k north of Newman, anyhow I fly up work for 14 days straight, then get 7 off, I’m a heavy duty fitter, soon to be drill fitter when I start my new job, get about $55 an hour, so yeah it’s Pretty rad!

Works out to be about $2000 a week AFter tax, I know it sounds like bragging but take it as encouragement, if you sitting at home not doing much get up here, drive a dump truck, nothing stopping you!!
