For some brands we are a year ahead. We already have 2011 snowboards in stores.

Really? Do you feel, as a consumer, more drawn to 2011 stuff than 2010 just because it’s “newer”?
I think for me, if there’s no real change in the tech between years I’ll go for the cheaper older model, but if there’s a slight change that could impact the durability/ride of the product I’d go for the newer gear

Just picked up a 2011 Burton Custom Flying V.
it was the same price as the 2010 Custom V Rocker so i thought why not.
Flying V is supposed to be better than the V-Rocker as well according so some of the reviews ive read.

I like flying v better than v-rocker, but they are both good. Nice board you got!

Had a chance to ride it? I’m looking at this board. What do you think of this comment from this forum?

The general consensus was that there was ‘too much going on’ with the profile. Reverse camber between the feet, camber under the feet and then reverse camber again to the tip and tail. It felt as though there were too many contact points and it made the board ride as if it were much wider, taking longer to get from edge to edge. Harder to stand in the centre of the board, you almost had to choose front foot or rear foot to focus your weight to get the board to respond.

The Flying V sounds exciting and I can get i in 163, but the review above isn’t flattering….

Thanks for your comment!
