does anyone ever use their gopro for stills too? Does it perform as well as a point and shoot pocket size digi-cam?
Mizu must have taken 1000+ photos on his GoPro last night.
Mizu, post some photos!

Loadin as we post!!!!!
Not just the Contour to keep in mind but also the DirftHD in that category.
GoPro2 letdown: no room for additional viewfinder backing (need to buy larger housing), ugly, easily lost, fogging.
I’ve found any review on pov cams bias, I’ve even seen comparison between GoPro HD and Canon XHA1 that has the GoPro showing better image (laughable).
GoPro wins through better marketing. It’s not the best for image quality or the cheapest at that quality.
Wi-Fi Streaming, no need for BacPac viewfinder attached to camera!!!!!
you get the additional case included with the purchase of the bacpac
Waterproofing is what sold me on the GoPro. 180 feet, 60 metres - awesome!
but that is largely irrelevant unless you get a converted housing for the Gopro….maybe the 2 is different. but the original is blurry under water so 60m was wasted. it is good for surfing though.
plus they say its going to be better in low light…but the original gopro is terrible in anything but good light so it wouldnt be hard to beat in that respect

Definately an awesome vid. 1:37… floating through the powder
I WANT A HERO2!!!!
Some of the GoPro2 120fps
(120fps is @ 480p)
spaz I watched that expecting something exciting to happen. At 120fps it must have been too quick and I must have missed it!
stoked I just sold my gopro last night and will order the new one!
i lost my go-pro early this season and just got a new one like 2 months ago and now the gopro2 comes :(
A mate of mine got a GP hours before the GP2 was announced.
Did some research yesterday on GP2;
-Still blurry underwater but you can buy an aftermarket flat lens for the housing to improve it.
-WiFi doesn’t yet do streaming. Waiting on firmware to be developed.
-Low light footage is still average.
-120fps is 480p (A little small for crisp/sharp 50” HD plasma viewing) and it’s restricted to 170• fov in that setting.
haha man that sucks for your mate, i thought i had it bad lol
