I think his style in the pipe is good. It just looks “textbook” a lot of the time.
Take a look at runs by Kazuhiro Kokubo and then Shaun White for an illustration of the difference in style (as I see it). Or watch Shaun’s spins off jumps compared to say torsteins or haldors, I won’t mention rails….
With reference to the scooter thing, he skateboardes, now he’s selling things that either act as features taken from skate parks or equipment you might use in skateparks, not a massive stretch for me….
Kazu vs Shaun. I think Kazu has more style than Shaun (think his McTwist), but Shaun’s tricks are just textbook perfect.
Shaun wins contests because of his consistency. He throws huge tricks back to back, and lands them 95% of the time. He goes huge and grabs all his tricks. That’s why he wins. I think style is a factor for the judges, but not enough to ignore the mentioned points.
He’s taken a big step back in slopestyle in the last couple of years.

Seb toots or Mark McMorris for the win in the next Olympics for slopestyle. 2 homies from Canada pushing each other and slaying in TTR.
I think Seb Toots will take it. I wonder if any big names (i.e. Halldor, Torstein etc) are going to compete. Could make it very interesting.
Out of all the slopestyle rider, I think Halldor has the best style, followed by Torstein. Never really like Seb or McMorris, don’t really know why.
