Iouri Podladtchikov Switch Backside Double Cork 1260

This past Sunday, October 9th, at Snowpark in Wanaka, New Zealand Olympian and top competitive snowboarder, Iouri “I-Pod” Podladtchikov landed the first ever documented Switch Backside Double Cork 1260 / Switch Double McTwist.

While Training with the Coach Marco Bruni in New Zealand Iouri shows us what’s happening as we head into the Sochi 2014 Olympics. Let’s hope the judges know he’s goofy!

It’s sick alright but anyone else thinks that he didn’t get enough air to make it look good?

He scraped the last 180 around, so yeah he should have gone bigger. Not a bad first effort though. Pretty crazy trick to throw switch.

i could see this on the snowpark webcam that day… i was wondering what was going down with the airbag… now i know…pretty sick.
