just a footnote, I asked Burton about my very old ‘93 Asym Air and here’s what they said:
I checked with our board developers and they say all of our boards have a 1 deg/1 deg base and edge bevel. Even for board that old! The only exception would be some of our newer board that come with the “Rail ready tune” have a 3 degree bevel. But all your boards are 1/1!
Yeah, I think Burton’s LTR boards have a 3 degree base bevel too.

I am not anywhere near techy enough to answer this question! haha - I usually grab my boards and attack them with a file! I prefer jibbing and goofy around rather than carving so I have never really focused too much on the nitty gritty. The way I figure it is just get out there and get your shred on!
But if you want me to weigh in - I don’t really think 0 or 1 degree bevel makes much difference at all providing you detune your contact points.
