Silje Norendal wins, Spencer O'Brien makes history

Norway's Silje Norendal blew away the competition to claim her second X Games gold medal in the slopestyle event, claiming victory over Jamie Anderson with the final run of the day. Watch the winning run above. 

“My rails were pretty good, and I think that really helped me,” said Norendal following the event. “It was really cool to see the progression in today’s contest. I’m just so happy I put down that run".

Canadian Spencer O'Brien also made history in the event, becoming the first woman to stomp a backside 900 in competition. O’Brien put down the trick on the last jump during her second run in finals on Sunday, despite narrowly finishing outside of the podium.
