Matt Banting pulled an early season surprise at Snapper Rocks this week, when he romped to an uexpected victory in his heat against Mick Fanning and Jack Freestone at the Quiksilver Pro. As a rookie on the circuit, not many know a lot about the 20-year-old talent from Port Macquarie, but this video sheds some light. This kid can surf.
