As General Pants BOWL-A-RAMA's stature continues to grow, so does the contest itself. In 2017, the world's best female riders were invited to compete in the first-ever contested women's event at Bondi, and it proved to be one of the highlights of the entire weekend, delivering non-stop entertainment throughout a tensely competitive affair.
Defending world champion Brighton Zeuner arrived alongside fellow American shredders like Jordyn Barratt and Amelia Brodka to take on the Bondi Bowl for the very first time. Bondi has proved itself as a breeding ground for top female shredders, and regular Aussie hopefuls like Poppy Olsen and Sari Simpson weren't going down without a fight against their American counterparts. A serious battle ensued, as the girls pushed themselves to go bigger and better than ever before.
Enjoy the full women's highlight reel from the weekend of action, which also includes some inspiring words of praise from the likes of Tony Hawk and Mike McGill. There's no doubt about it – these girls are the future of skateboarding. We're already looking forward to next year!
