When DNA announced last year that it was closing down the Alien Workshop brand, the skateboarding world fell into mourning. Responsible for some of the best and most well-recognized skateboarding videos of all time, including Photosynthesis and Mind Field, the Workshop had been supporting the skate scene with top quality content and products for nearly 25 years.
The rollercoaster ride took another epic twist, though, when it was announced that AWS would return under new owners, with an entirely new team. The backroom staff and overall direction has remained largely intact, and their first web video since shutting down has just arrived. Bunker Down features parts from Joey Guevara, Frankie Spears, Paul Liliani and Brandon Nguyen, all in classic Workshop style. Long live AWS.
